Providing Expert Witness Opinions and Testimony for defendants and plaintiffs

Dr. Orenstein is a Board Certified Fellowship trained practicing hip and knee orthopedic Surgeon with over 32 years of practice experience. He has performed hundreds of IMEs, and is certified to perform IMEs and Permanent Partial Impairment Ratings using the AMA Guides 5th and 6th Editions For the past six years, he has been an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery affiliated with the Indiana University School of Medicine.  Dr. Orenstein has  over 11 years of experience in IU Health Arnett's Hospital Credentials Committee and Surgical Standards Committee. He has co-authored a chapter in the Total Knee Revision Arthroplasty textbook and has authored several articles in peer-reviewed orthopedic journals. Dr. Orenstein is  on the editorial board of the Journal of Arthroplasty. Dr. Orenstein is former Chair of the Department of Orthopedic Surgery and former Division Director of Surgery for the Arnett Clinic in Lafayette, Indiana.

Dr. Orenstein has extensive training in expert witness testimony through SEAK, AADEP, and ABIME.  He has provided expert witness services in cases of medical malpractice, standard of care, personal injury cases, causation, disability, and workers compensation. Dr. Orenstein has been retained by both plaintiffs and defendants and has experience testifying at deposition and trial.
